Before I gave it up for the night, I checked my Inbox to see if anyone had written. There was the usual spate of spam letters, that I then proceeded to toss. As I was sending them off to the junk pile, I noticed that I had also received a letter from Dieter.
The last sentence of the note he sent said; "Hope you are brilliant and in good spirit."
And though it is late, and way past the time I should be going to bed, I took a few more minutes to write up a small post because what he wrote was really so very nice, What a kind thing to wish for someone.
He hoped I was brilliant...
bril·liant; sounds like bril-yuhnt adj.
1. shining brightly; sparkling; glittering; lustrous: the brilliant lights of the city. 2. distinguished; illustrious: a brilliant performance by a young pianist. 3. having or showing great intelligence, talent, quality, etc.: a brilliant technician. 4. strong and clear in tone; vivid; bright: brilliant blues and greens; the brilliant sound of the trumpets. 5. splendid or magnificent:
[Origin: 1675–85; < F brillant shining, prp. of briller < It brillare to glitter (perh. deriv. of an expressive root); see -ant]
Well, I don't know how shiny I am and could never claim to be brilliant, but I am in good spirits! In fact I am smiling and feeling very hopeful these days. Thank you. :-)
